Privacy Policy

Engazy is operated by Insights Mafia ("we", "us"). It lets businesses ("customers") send and receive WhatsApp messages through the official WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API) provided by Meta. This policy explains what data we process and why.

Data we process

• Account data — names, email addresses and hashed passwords of people who use the dashboard.
• Notification subscriptions — if you turn on notifications, the push address your browser gives us for that device. Notification content is end-to-end encrypted to your device and passes through your browser's push service (Google, Apple or Mozilla).
• WhatsApp connection data — WhatsApp Business Account and phone number IDs, and access tokens (encrypted at rest).
• Contact data — phone numbers, names, WhatsApp profile names, tags, and opt-in / opt-out records of the people our customers message.
• Message data — content and delivery status of messages sent and received, and media shared in conversations.
• Technical data — logs needed to operate, secure and debug the service.

How we use it

Only to provide the service: delivering and displaying messages, running the automations and campaigns a customer configures, recording consent, showing analytics, preventing abuse, and meeting legal obligations. We do not sell personal data and do not use message content for advertising.

Roles

For messages and contacts, each business using the platform decides what is sent and to whom; we process that data on their behalf. Messages travel through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform and are also subject to WhatsApp's Business Policy.

Sharing

We share data only with providers needed to run the service — Meta (WhatsApp delivery), our hosting and database providers — or when required by law.

Retention and deletion

Data is kept while a customer's account is active. Customers can delete contacts and disconnect numbers at any time. A person who received messages can reply STOP to opt out, or ask the business that messaged them — or us — to delete their data.

Security

Data is sent over HTTPS, access tokens are encrypted, and dashboard access is limited by role.
